Project partners

Community Airport Portal (CAP) is an initiative of 5 project partners from across Greece (academic and research institutions, a global provider of mobile marketing and the Athens International Airport. The following partners participate within the CAP project.

  • The Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) is a non profit Academic Research Body established in order to carry research and development activities in the fields of all diverse aspects of telecommunications and computer systems.The personnel of ICCS consists of a number of Research scientists and more than 500 Associate scientists (including PhD students).ICCS is associated with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (SECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)

  • Velti is a leading global provider of mobile marketing and advertising solutions for brands, advertising agencies, mobile operators, and media companies.In order to improve existing services and create new State-of-the-art services, the company is part of national and international consortia of research projects. Velti holds a dedicated department for Innovation with over 25 employees with analytical and innovation skills across the board.

  • The Institute for the Management of Information Systems - IMIS is the newest institute of the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies "Athena", and started operating in March 2007. Athena RC/IMIS conducts research and participates in R&D projects in the area of data management and large-scale information systems

  • ELTRUN is the E-Business Research Center of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). The center currently consists of more than 20 researchers, including 6 members of the academic staff of AUEB, while there is close cooperation with academic staff of other Institutions. Through the years, ELTRUN has successfully managed to produce state-of-the-art research and to complete more than 40 international research projects some of them funded by the Information Society and Technologies Program of the European Commission.

  • Athens International Airport S.A. was established in June 1996 in the form of a partnership involving the Greek State and a private consortium led by the German company Hochtief Aktiengesellshaft. Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" is one of the most modern, functional and safest airports in the world. Thanks to its advantageous geographical location, state-of-the-art technological infrastructure and high level of partners, it has earned international recognition and the trust of air travellers.
